local youth forums that reflect and recognise:

needs of young people.

community partnerships.
Access to a
range of affordable social, cultural, recreational, learning and
employment opportunities.
Support and
be involved in the development and provision of services and programs
designed to meet the needs of young people
Support
sponsorship, encouragement and support for, and assistance with
developing proposals seeking Commonwealth and State funds for
employment, education, training and social opportunities for young
people
Keep
community groups and organisations informed of Commonwealth and State
funding opportunities for young people
Ensure the
ongoing support for Western District Health Service youth programs such
as YouthBiz, FreeZA and associated activities.

also committed to ‘work with young people to develop a planning

opportunities for them to reach their potential’ in the Glenelg Shire
Council Plan 2005-2009.
